Today we are going to look into some real models of our dolls. A lot of our collaborations were done with imaginary characters from anime, games and movies. Even though movie characters are played by real actors, still the character itself isn’t real. I think the most often person we’ve done was Hide’ from X-Japan. Also we’ve done many male stars from Japan that was limitedly released like ‘Seikima ii’, ‘Gackt’ and ‘Nightmare Hitsu’.

To check some recent models, we have released Akira, Misako Aoki & Midori Fukasawa. They are all popular models in Japan.

1. AKIRA

To start with Akira…She’s the model for Taeyang in a ‘Destinee De La Rose outfit’ from ‘BABY the stars shine bright, Alice and the Pirates’ line.

She is currently busy with her Solo Debut with " Aoki Tsuki Michite, Black Butler: Book of Circus". She is a member of the three-member rock band ‘Disacode’. And a well-known cross-dress model. I personally love her new single. It goes well with the anime.

2. Misako Aoki

Misako Aoki is a top Lolita model in Japan. She’s very active on her SNS pages and also in person.

We were delighted when she insisted on posting photos on her twitter of the prototype Pullip dolls that was based on her and the fashion brand ‘BABY the stars shine bright’. Misako Aoki is actually the ambassador of ‘kawaii’ (Cute). This title is for real! And its announced by the foreign ministry of Japan and their job is to introduce J-pop culture to youngsters in other countries.

If you have noticed her Pullip doll has another uniform. It’s actually a nurse uniform in pink! I’m not sure if she actually wears pink scrubs but she is a real nurse in person. Yes, a nurse and also a model!

3. Midori Fukasawa

Midori Fukasawa is also a well-known model in Japan. She does a lot of fashion spreads on Japan’s Kera magazine and you can easily see her posing with Misako Aoki or Akira. Based on her SNS channels, she might be personal friends with them since we can see a lot of photos of her with the other two outside the studio.

She has a book of her own, ‘Doll Classica’ that shares a lot of her style and fashion and even essays of her personal life & likes. She even came to one of our events, ‘Doll Carnival 2011’ and she was a delight, always knows how to strike a pose!
